Rise Up Singing

An essential resource in the library of every person who loves to sing folk songs old and new. Warning: if you sing a lot, you’ll want the toughest copy of this you can find, and even then you may find yourself replacing it every few years, because you’ve worn it out or you’ve given it to a friend who couldn’t live without it!
Rise Up Singing: The Group Singing Songbook (15th Anniversary Edition)
Peter Blood, et al
Paperback / Revised 1992 — Spiral-bound

/ Revised 1992 — Large Print
/ 2004
Don’t know all the songs in the book already? Rise Up Singing Teaching Tapes are the answer. As music tapes, they’re unusual: you’ll hear the melody and, where applicable, the chorus for every song in several chapters of the Rise Up Singing book (which has words and chords only for most songs). Don’t expect this tape to be useful directly to listen to for enjoyment, as it can be irritating to hear just that small part of each song. Long out of publication, check Amazon.com to see if there are used copies available.
